A Wild Day at Chester Zoo

This April, Year 7 embarked on an unforgettable journey to Chester Zoo. Following three Climate and Sustainability Workshops with Chester Zoo's Education Officers in school, Year 7 were lucky enough to be invited to explore the Zoo itself.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn about various animal species and their habitats. They discovered fascinating facts about conservation efforts and the importance of protecting our planet's incredible biodiversity.

One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the Jaguar enclosure, students were in awe of these big cats and captivated by their strength and agility. But the real star of the show was the Zoo's adorable new baby giraffe, Edie!

Not only was the trip a fun-filled day out, it ignited a passion for wildlife and conservation in our Year 7 students. A huge thank you to Chester Zoo for providing such a fantastic experience.
